The Yantra Mantra Worked : Tejaswi's New Venture

I am currently reading Mantra and Yantra by Swami Niranjananda Saraswathi. The book is a simple and profound one, detailing the significance of Yantras and Mantras. According to Swaniji, a Yantra is like H2O for water. It is a symbol that conveys deep meaning. The actual liquid is the physical manifestation of water.

In the book, Swamiji has mentioned about an experiment by a French Professor who asked children to color Yantras as a part of their daily coloring routine(instead of a tree or an animal) and has recorded the amazing improvement in Children's creativity and intelligence after coloring the yantras daily for 6 months.

My son Tejaswi did not have a keen interest in drawing and coloring (compared to music or playing on the street). He clearly mentions that he doesn't want to participate in coloring competitions because he finds it boring.

I wanted to experiment on Tejaswi what Swamiji has mentioned in his book . I printed a few Yantras and handed it over to them. The moment he saw them, he got so excited that for the past 2 days he has been coloring Yantras and demands for more. The yantras are now hanging on our bedroom wall so that we look at them before going to bed and as soon as we wake up.

Yantras are giving him the freedom to use any color anywhere, yet within a certain pattern. It is my own analysis that if it was a tree, he would have been restricted to just 2 colors: green for the leaves and brown for the trunk. The yantras may have given him more scope to play with colors and he has almost used all the colors from his box.
Now he is moving on to Chakras, a little more restrictive with respect to colors but neverthless very powerful.
Will share the Tejaswi's Chakra Coloring works once done! Bye for now!

  1. I think..that's why, Kolam (is nothing but Yantra) is being practiced by people everyday early morning or evening which is right for concentration.
